OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSIGNMENT
The main objective of the study is to explore the effectiveness of SRHR champions in advancing positive narratives on SRHR in Uganda.
The specific objectives of the study are:
- To document and analyze successful strategies and approaches used by SRHR champions to promote awareness and education of positive SRHR narratives
- To evaluate the tangible outcomes of SRHR champions’ initiatives on SRHR indicators, such as maternal mortality rates, access to family planning, and incidence of sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
- To examine the effectiveness of communications’ campaigns led by SRHR champions in countering negative narratives on SRHR.
Identify and understand the obstacles faced by SRHR champions in their efforts to advance SRHR positive narratives in the public domain. - Identify and understand the obstacles faced by SRHR champions in their efforts to advance SRHR positive narratives in the public domain.
SCOPE OF WORK
The consultant will be responsible for conducting this study by accomplishing the following tasks.
Review and Analysis
- Analyze the concept of SRHR champions and how it has been applied and utilized in SRHR work including national laws, policies, and regulations relating to the concept.
- Examine the alignment of Uganda’s frameworks that relate with SRHR champions work with international and regional SRHR standards, treaties, and commitments
- Document and analyze successful strategies and approaches used by SRHR champions to promote awareness and education on positive SRHR narratives
Assessment of the Impact
- Evaluate the tangible outcomes of SRHR champions’ initiatives on SRHR indicators, such as maternal mortality rates, access to family planning, and incidence of sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
- Evaluate barriers and enablers within the legal and policy environment that affect the SRHR champions efforts to advance SRHR positive narratives in the public domain.
- Assess the effectiveness of communications’ campaigns led by SRHR champions in countering negative narratives on SRHR.
Recommendations
- Provide recommendations to address the barriers and gaps affecting the SRHR champions work on advancing SRHR positive narratives in the public domain
- Propose strategies for improving SRHR champions work on advancing positive narratives within the public domain.
TIMELINES
The consultant is expected to complete the assignment within a period of 30 days.
