HISTORY

The SRHR alliance Uganda was founded in 2011 with support from Dutch Ministry of Foreign affairs through funding organizations including; SIMAVI, Rutgers, AIDS Fonds, Dance4life, Choice for youth rights and sexuality as well as International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF). Since its inception, the alliance has implemented 4 different programs including United For Better Health Tomorrow (UFHT); Access, Services, and Knowledge (ASK); Get Pp Speak out (GUSO)and GUSO Flexi Program.
In December 2018, the alliance was formally registered as a national non-profit company limited by guarantee with a mandate to implement programs across all the four regions in Uganda and the internal level. We are currently in the process of finalizing registration as a National Non-Governmental Organization.
Over these past 8 years, we have built a strong niche and vast experience in the delivery of youth-friendly SRHR information and services to young people at grassroots levels.
